MRI TECHNOLOGIST (JOB # 2017.0032)

  • Summary: Will perform sophisticated imaging procedures utilizing magnetic resonance imaging technology as prescribed by a radiologists. Will be responsible for room set-up, patient positioning, patient screening (safety interviews), knowledge of PACS, and quality control.
  • Required Qualifications: Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA approved school. ARRT certified or eligible for certification. BLS certification within three months of hire and continual recertification.
  • Desired Qualifications: Associate’s degree. Two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist. MRI certification.
  • Schedule: Full time, Monday-Friday, plus rotating call 2-3 nights/week and every other weekend.

RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST (Casual) (JOB # 2017.0037)

  • Summary: Under the direction of a Radiologist, but not requiring constant supervision, will perform a variety of technical radiographic procedures that require independent judgment, skill, and initiative when using ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis. Will produce quality exams and practice ALARA principles when delivering ionizing radiation doses.
  • Required Qualifications: Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technologist training in an AMA approved school. ARRT certified upon hire and maintain ARRT certification by meeting continuing education requirements. BLS certification within three months of employment, if not certified upon hire, and ongoing recertification. Licensed as a Radiographer through the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services and ongoing recertification.
  • Desired Qualifications: Associate’s degree in a related field. Two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist. BLS certification upon hire.
  • Schedule: Casual, as needed, to cover variable shifts; plus weekend call rotation every 6th weekend.

ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST (Full Time - JOB # 2017.0034) & (Casual - JOB # 2016.0009)

  • Summary: Will utilize high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques for medical diagnosis. Will evaluate normal and abnormal anatomy and pathology to produce images for interpretation by a radiologist with findings documented using PACS, Kinetics, color images, or a combination of these. Will use independent judgment and initiative to determine if additional scanning is needed. Will also provide accurate needle guidance during special procedures as directed by physicians.
  • Required Qualifications: Completion of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program or equivalent AMA-approved medical program. ARDMS certified or eligible for certification in the categories of physics, abdomen, obstetrics/gynecology, and neurosonology. BLS certification within three months of hire, if not certified upon hire.
  • Desired Qualifications: Associate’s degree in a related field. Completion of a formal AMA-approved ultrasound program. ARDMS certified or eligible for certification in breast. Two years of experience as an ultrasound technologist.
  • Schedule:
       Full Time ~ Monday-Friday, day shift, with possibility of some PM shifts; plus call 1-2 nights per week 5pm-7am; plus call every 3rd weekend 5pm Friday to 7am Monday; plus call 1-2 holidays per year.
       Casual ~ For coverage, as needed, between 7am and 5pm, Monday-Friday, plus call rotation every 5th weekend and 1-2 holidays/year, with 24/7 call on weekends/holidays, weeknight call starts at 5pm and ends at 7am the following morning.
