RN-OUTPATIENT CATH CARE

Part Time - JOB # 2018.0015

  • Summary: Will be primarily responsible for quality nursing care with patients undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Cath, Electrophysiology, and Interventional Vascular Labs. Will be part of a team responsible for physiological monitoring, pre and post-procedure vital sign monitoring and interpretation, analysis, and computing and reporting of pertinent cardiopulmonary physiological data obtained. Will also help to decrease patient and family anxiety levels through appropriate measures by meeting physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of the patient and family.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. State of Wisconsin nursing licensure. Two years medical/surgical/cardiovascular nursing or one year ICU/ER nursing experience. BLS within one month of employment. ACLS within three months of employment. PALS certification, as appropriate.
  • Desired Qualifications: One year interventional procedural prep/recovery experience.
  • Schedule: Part time, 0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week, two 12-hour night shifts.

We are a highly awarded campus that is quickly growing and one of four hospitals in the State of Wisconsin performing the advanced MitraClip Structured Heart procedure, with more advanced procedures coming soon.

This position is for a Cardiovascular Sonographer looking for opportunities for professional growth and new technology.

  • Summary: If not already registered in both echo and vascular ultrasound, will train and become registered to independently perform cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams following American Society of Echocardiography (ICAEL) and ICAVL guidelines and department protocols. Will evaluate normal/abnormal anatomy and pathology to produce images for interpretation by the interpreting physicians. All exam images are digitally acquired and documentation digitally archived. Will also be responsible for the safety of patients, visitors, and medical staff in Cardiovascular Ultrasound.
  • Required Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum of 12 months ultrasound experience (inclusive of clinical rotations). ARDMS registered within one year of start date for either echo or vascular ultrasound. ARDMS registered for both RDCS (adult echo) and RVT (vascular tech) within three years of start date. BLS certification within three months of start date.
  • Desired Qualifications: Associate degree or completion of a formal AMA approved Ultrasound/Echocardiography program or Ultrasound/Vascular program. Minimum of 12 months full-time experience (inclusive of clinical rotations) scanning vascular or echocardiography; or minimum 12 months full-time experience scanning general with some vascular experience. If already ARDMS or CCI credentialed, the 12 months experience is not necessary. Two years of echocardiography or vascular experience. Six months of 3-D echocardiography experience. (Preference may be given to candidates possessing 3-D echo experience.) Current ARDMS registry. ACLS certification.
  • Schedule: Full time, 0.9 FTE, 36 hours/week, Monday-Friday, plus call nights/holidays/weekends on a rotational basis.
