Heart, Lung and Vascular Services

The Diagnostic & Treatment Center Heart, Lung and Vascular Services department provides a wide range of diagnostic cardiac, pulmonary and vascular services.

Diagnostic services include:

                -  Electrocardiogram (EKG)

                -  Heart rhythm monitoring and analysis. This includes short term Holter monitors (24 to 48 hours), and long term Event Recorder (30 day) heart monitoring.

                -  A full range of Echocardiography procedures (ultrasound of the heart), inclusive of Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) and Stress (exercise) Echocardiograms.

                -  Diagnostic Vascular and Arterial studies (detection of blood clots; blood flow abnormalities, varicose veins, etc.).

                -  A full range of Pulmonary Function testing.

                -  Various Stress Tests (“stress” = exercise of the heart). These include Stress Echocardiogram, Stress Nuclear testing and basic treadmill tests.

                -  Tilt Table studies.

                -  Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP Therapy) for Heart Failure patients who meet the criteria for this therapy.

The Heart, Lung and Vascular Services department is fully digital and utilizes state of the art systems that allow constant monitoring of the patient. These services are provided through highly skilled professionals, including registered nurses, radiology technologists, cardiovascular technicians, cardiac and vascular sonographers, EKG technicians, certified cardiographic technicians, respiratory therapists and patient coordinators. These professionals have many years of experience in heart, lung and vascular testing and procedures, and have a true passion for providing the best care possible to the patients they serve.
